What West Point has taught me well (and not taught me well)

by SoapyNome on 4th April 2015 at 06:32 PM
Sup guys

I know y'all haven't heard from me for a while. Sorry about that. I kind of fell out of the let's play scene - I don't really watch them anymore and I sure don't make them.

To be totally honest, I don't really play games that much anymore, either. I occasionally pick up a game (I'm a huge Nintendo/Zelda fan, so yeah I play those) but I don't really have the time or interest to get into gaming.

Anyway, I decided to make this post. I'm not sure

Shennanigans at West Point (Entry 5)

Alright, it's time to go into the meat of West Point: The Academic Year.

Now, there's a LOT that goes on during the Academic Year. As a matter of fact, it's impossible for me to explain what it's like without you actually experiencing it. But I'll do my best.

First I'll start out with class structure. There is a limit of 18 cadets per class - including the prerequisites. So no 500 people in an auditorium classes. Here's my schedule this semester:

I don't know where to start. Typing out everything that happened the last 27 days would take forever and nobody would read it, so I guess I'll give a quick list of what I learned:

Well, I've asked for requests, and here's one. So let's get to it, shall we?

Proudest Moment

This is a really tough one. This ranges from getting in to West Point, to getting a 98.5% on a Math WPR. (WPR = Written Partial Review, essentially a major test. West Point has a LOT of weird acronyms.) But I guess my proudest "moment" would be how much

I figure for this entry I'll finish up the rest of beast.

So beast was interesting. As mentioned before, the first couple of weeks was mostly issue points and hazing. Plenty of hazing. However, things changed at week 3. Something I'll never forget is the infamous gas chamber:

(I'm not in this picture, for the record)

I'll never
