  1. What West Point has taught me well (and not taught me well)

    Sup guys

I know y'all haven't heard from me for a while. Sorry about that. I kind of fell out of the let's play scene - I don't really watch them anymore and I sure don't make them.

To be totally honest, I don't really play games that much anymore, either. I occasionally pick up a game (I'm a huge Nintendo/Zelda fan, so yeah I play those) but I don't really have the time or interest to get into gaming.

Anyway, I decided to make this post. I'm not sure ...
  2. LP Blowups

Everyone has had that one moment during an LP where something catastrophic happens. It could be the recording software crashing.
It could be hardware failing. Or it could just be a simple mistake like not turning your mic on. It like instant death to your video, right?
I can remember at least half a dozen times where I was a klutz and didn't turn my mic on, only to find out in the preview. I can also remember
a few times where Camtasia crapped out on me right when I was saving ...
  3. Everyone Has to Start Somewhere

I'm sure this has been done before, but I'd like to start up a blog about my experiences of entering this forum and

Searching for a community and finding LPF:
To start, I'd like to briefly explain what happened before I ended up here at LPF. I had started getting ...

This guide offers basic rules on how to present your message in a forum post. Some of these rules are somewhat particular to an internet ...

  5. Choice as an out-of-game mechanic (examined through key choices in Fire Emblem: Awakening)

Warning: fairly major plot spoilers for Fire Emblem: Awakening

A bit of background; a few months ago, I purchased Fire Emblem: Awakening for the 3DS. I'd heard a lot of great things about it, but I was actually blown away by how incredibly well-done it is. It is a very good game. Gameplay's great, music's great, and the writing is absolutely goddamn fantastic. I'd go so far as to say that this is exactly how video game linear storytelling should be done. Why? Well, that's what this ...
